As SF Fire & Ventilation Systems, our fire hose cabinet systems are part of fixed-pipe water-based fire suppression systems. They are designed to enable building occupants to respond quickly to and extinguish small incipient fires before they develop further.
Fire hose cabinets can be installed either on walls or inside recessed enclosures, depending on architectural and project requirements.
Mandatory Application Areas
Fire hose cabinet systems are required in the following building types:
- High-rise buildings
- Industrial facilities, workshops, and warehouses with a total enclosed area over 1000 m²
- Accommodation, healthcare, assembly, and educational buildings
- Indoor parking areas larger than 600 m²
- Boiler rooms with a thermal capacity exceeding 350 kW
Installation Requirements
Fire hose cabinets must be:
- Installed on every floor and in each fire-separated compartment
- Positioned so that the distance between cabinets does not exceed 30 meters
- Located near escape routes, corridor exits, and stairwell landings whenever possible
In buildings equipped with sprinkler systems and fire department connection points:
- Cabinets may be supplied from wet sprinkler branch lines
- Maximum spacing may be increased up to 45 meters
Hose Types and Technical Standards
Semi-Rigid Circular Hoses (TS EN 671-1 / TS EN 694):
- Diameter: 25 mm
- Length: up to 30 m
- Capable of jet, spray, or fog operation
- Design flow rate: 100 L/min
- Design pressure: 400 kPa
- Pressure reducers are required if nozzle inlet pressure exceeds 900 kPa
Flat Lay-Flat Hoses (TS EN 671-2):
- Diameter: up to 50 mm
- Length: up to 20 m
- Jet, spray, or fog operation capability
- Design flow rate: 400 L/min
- Minimum design pressure: 400 kPa
- Pressure reducers must be used if pressure exceeds 900 kPa
These hose types are intended for facilities where trained fire personnel are available.

According to TS EN 671-3 standard:
- Fire hose cabinets and hose reel systems must undergo annual inspection and maintenance at least once per year
- Maintenance must be carried out by the building owner, manager, or authorized responsible personnel
