Flow Switch

SF Fire & Ventilation Systems provides water flow alarm switch (flow switch) solutions designed for wet pipe sprinkler systems to ensure reliable detection of water movement and prompt signal transmission to the fire alarm system.

In wet pipe systems, paddle-type flow switches are used to indicate the start of water flow within the 4–10 GPM range. This allows early detection of sprinkler activation during a fire event.

Flow switches are specifically used in wet pipe and closed-head foam sprinkler systems. They are not suitable for dry pipe or deluge systems. When water flow begins in the system, the internal mechanism is activated and sends a signal to the fire alarm panel.

Thanks to the built-in dry contact output, the alarm signal is transmitted to the fire detection control panel, where it is displayed as an audible and visual alarm. These devices are suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The system is designed to cause minimal pressure loss, ensuring that hydraulic performance is not significantly affected during operation.
