Pre-action Alarm Valve

SF Fire & Ventilation Systems provides preaction sprinkler systems, which are advanced fire protection solutions designed for high-sensitivity and critical environments requiring early and controlled activation.

These systems are structurally similar to deluge systems; however, they operate with a higher level of safety and control. In preaction systems, sprinkler heads are equipped with heat-sensitive elements, and system activation depends on both detection and mechanical response.

The control valve in the system functions as a preaction valve. When the fire detection system is activated, the valve opens and fills the piping network with water, effectively converting the system into a wet pipe sprinkler system.

Preaction systems can be designed as either single interlock or double interlock configurations. In single interlock systems, activation occurs through a fire detection signal alone, while in double interlock systems, both fire detection and sprinkler head activation due to heat are required.

Double interlock systems are preferred in highly sensitive areas to prevent accidental water discharge. In such cases, even if a sprinkler head is physically damaged, the system will not activate unless both conditions are met.

The piping between the control valve and sprinkler network is typically filled with pressurized air or nitrogen. Accelerators are also used to improve system response time and ensure faster activation.

SF Fire & Ventilation Systems designs preaction sprinkler systems with a focus on maximum safety, controlled operation, and full compliance with international fire protection standards.
