Supervised Butterfly Valve

SF Fire & Ventilation Systems supplies certified fire protection equipment in full compliance with national and international standards. All supervised butterfly valves are provided in accordance with FM Approved and UL Listed requirements.

Supervised butterfly valves are used as zone control valves in fire protection systems. They are installed on water supply lines to isolate and control different zones within a protected area, ensuring independent operation and maintenance capability.

In fire protection installations, shut-off and control functions are typically performed using either butterfly valves or rising stem gate valves. All valves used in fire systems must be visually accessible and electrically supervised to ensure real-time monitoring of their position.

Butterfly valves are generally designed as gear-operated, handwheel (volante) type valves, allowing manual operation with ease and reliability.

Each valve is equipped with a built-in supervisory switch that monitors its status. In addition, an open/closed position indicator is installed on the valve body to provide clear visual confirmation of the valve condition.

SF Fire & Ventilation Systems delivers supervised valve solutions with a focus on system reliability, operational safety, and full compliance with FM and UL certified fire protection standards.
