Rising Stem Valve

Rising stem gate valves are commonly used in sprinkler fire protection systems to ensure reliable system control and isolation. These valves feature a wedge-type, resilient seated gate design and are equipped with a supervisory switch for monitoring purposes.

The stem and operating nut are located outside the valve body, which allows the valve position to be visually identified with ease. When the stem is fully visible, the valve is open; when the stem is not visible, the valve is in the closed position.

For enhanced system safety, a supervisory switch is installed on the rising stem gate valve. This switch continuously monitors the open/closed status of the valve and transmits signals to the fire alarm or building automation system.
